It’s Monday, which means the salon is closed.

It’s nice to have a day off every once in a while.

This weekend was the Premiere Birmingham Hair Show of which I was NOT in attendance.  I will have to get some info from Roxanne.  She went.  More on that later.

The holidays are creeping up on us, and you know what that means! Holiday Parties.  People needing holiday hair/makeup.  Our salon is going to try drumming up some business for that, now that my boss has more hands to do the work!  We’ll see how that promotion goes!

In other news, I’ve realized just how hard all of this business stuff is.  I mean, I’d love to sit on here and act like I’m an old pro, but that just ain’t the case!  I’m a former teacher.  Not ONE of my college classes had ANYTHING to do with business.  Everything I’ve learned has been since jumping into this new career and let me tell you there’s a LOT to it!  It’s a good thing I have such a great marketer (Nathan Maggard) to help me with all of my questions.  I honestly don’t know what I’d do without him.

Anyway, I just wanted to wiggle my fingers around on here for a bit to update you with the goings-on.

Peace.
